Community Kitchens Staff
The operations of Community Kitchens are managed by a team of 6 employees and many volunteers. The kitchens are open for lunch everyday. The administrative staff can be reached Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Andrea Blackert, Executive Director
Andrea joined Community Kitchens in August 2006 as program director and was appointed Executive Director in December 2007. Her varied background includes both for and nonprofit administration, as well as restaurant and catering experience. She is responsible for the Kitchens’ volunteer program, program development, community outreach, public relations, fundraising & operational management. Brandon Fountain, Administrative Assistant / Volunteer Coordinator
Brandon joined Community Kitchens in August 2011. Prior to joining Kitchens, he worked as a Street Outreach Worker with a nonprofit serving homeless youth on the streets of Birmingham and as a Youth Pastor in two South Georgia churches. James has been a fixture with Community Kitchens for many years. Our volunteers and guests first knew James’ smiling face from the Southside location. James continues his service to Community Kitchens as the manager of the Woodlawn kitchen.
